Dr Wong Hin Seng
Dr Hin-Seng WONG is the senior consultant and Head of the Department of Nephrology and Head of the Clinical Research Centre (CRC) in Hospital Selayang. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master in Medicine (Internal Medicine) at the National University of Malaysia and completed his postgraduate nephrology fellowship in Sheffield Kidney Institute, Sheffield, England in 1997.
He is currently the president of the Malaysian Society of Diagnostic & Interventional Nephrology (MSDIN), president of the Post Graduate Renal Society of Malaysia (PGRSM) and the past president of the Malaysian Society of Nephrology (MSN). He is the chairman of the Malaysian Organ Sharing System (eMOSS), chief editor of the Malaysian Dialysis and Transplant Registry (MDTR), member of the National Renal Registry (NRR) advisory committee, member of the steering committee of the Malaysian Registry of Renal Biopsy (MRRB) and a fellow of the Royal College of Physician of Edinburgh.
He has over 60 publications, delivered over 130 lectures at scientific meetings both locally and abroad, and presented over 140 research papers in local and international meetings.
He has been the principle investigator for 21 Industrial Sponsored Research (ISR) and his main focus of interests includes lupus nephritis, diabetic nephropathy, hypertension, dialysis, renal transplantation, and diagnostic & interventional nephrology.
