Retinal Disease Awareness Programme Launch
The Ministry of Health Malaysia will be launching the Retinal Disease Awareness Programme or RDAP at Hospital Selayang, Selangor on 26 March 2015. The programme which will be carried out in partnership with Standard Chartered Scope International will help to educate people about Retinal Disease and identify those with Diabetic Retinopathy.

The Ministry of Health Malaysia officially launched the Retinal Disease Awareness Programme or RDAP at Hospital Selayang, Selangor on 26 March 2015. The programme which was launched by the Deputy Minister of Health Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Dr. Helmi Hj. Yahaya will be carried out in partnership with Standard Chartered Scope International will help to educate people about Retinal Disease and identify those with Diabetic Retinopathy. Also present during the official ceremony were Kwan Chee Sun, CEO of Standard Chartered Scope International Malaysia and Mahendra Gursahani, Managing Director and CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia. The event witnessed the handover of 2 fundus cameras and 2 digital smart charts worth RM150, 000 to the Ministry of Health by Standard Chartered Scope International as a sign of their support to the initiative.
